Responsible for the full development life-cycle. Create and utilize patterns and frameworks as part of an overall software architecture blueprint. Develop software applications using Java/J2EE and IBM WebSphere Portal. Work closely with team members to understand requirements for business and technical objectives. Responsible for the design documentation, development, unit testing and maintenance of developed applications. Perform unit testing, debugging and set test conditions based on code specifications. Take lead on providing technical solutions to ensure systems are highly available and meet SLA's. Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical staff members and non-technical members. Education: Bachelors or equivalent work experience Work Experience · 5+ years in a full life cycle application development environment. · 3+ years with IBM Websphere Portal design preferred, development and/or deployment portlets, functional components, interfaces, navigation, inter-portlet communication, portal them, personalization and migration strategies. · 5+ years of J2EE development experience including EJB, Servlets, Portlets, JSP, JPA, JDBC, JAXB, JAX-WS, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, XML, and XSLT. Experienced in front end web development utilizing HTML, AJAX, Javascript, XML, JQuery, Mashups. · 3+ years in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) · 3+ years in Web Services development using standards like SOAP, REST, WS-Security, WSDL, JAX-RPC, ESB, Service Registry, etc. · 2+ years with application performance testing/tuning and continuous integration tools such as ANT, Maven, JUnit, SVN, JMeter, and Cruise Control · 5+ years on relational databases, including Oracle, SqlServer and DB2. Experience with LDAP and WebSphere Portal integration as well as configuring and implementing single sign on. Knowledge of JSR 168 and JSR286 required. · Experience with Application Security design. · Must have hands-on experience using development tools (eg Eclipse, RAD, RSA). · Experience with IBM Portlet Factory preferred. · Experience with object oriented analysis and design including, database modeling, use cases realization, UML, and HTML. · Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 7.x and IBM WebSphere Portal 6.x installation, configuration and administration.
