Position: ETL Developer Location: ROCHESTER HILLS, MI Duration: 6 Months SUMMARY: - The Business Intelligence team populates Client’s Enterprise Data Warehouse. This developer will create Extract, Transform and Load processes to populate the warehouse. POSITION DUTIES: - * Create automated processes to populate the Enterprise Data Warehouse. * This includes acquiring data from source systems, transforming data to conform to standard dimensions, and populating data marts. * Participate in identifying client needs and ensuring congruence with technical development capabilities * Participate in requirements gathering and design for projects. * Create detailed technical specifications and write efficient code. * Create test plans; conduct quality and performance testing * Create technical documentation in support programming and design activities such as release notes, code comments, use cases, and training materials * Provide ongoing technical support, including problem assessment, resolution and documentation. * Recommend and implement improvements to team processes. REQUIRED SKILLS - * 4+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) * 4+ years experience with Visual Studio * 4+ years experience with SQL programming * 4+ years experience developing ETL programs using any industry standard tools. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution ! PREFERRED SKILLS: - * Good understanding of dimensional models. * Exposure to reporting/analytics. * Capability to set or enforce standards, architecture and process for the team. * Experience in the Healthcare industry. * Ability to provide recommendations regarding platform construction and purchasing of products to support complex or corporate business needs. * Ability to mentor junior developers.
