*6 month contract – will extend* * * *Job Description:* This is a Test Engineer position, with preferred emphasis in product/framework and UI testing, to support the TRM (Teradata Relationship Manager) product development, in the Teradata Engineering Office in Raleigh, NC. The Test Engineer designs, develops and supports test cases, test plans, and test scripts for the TRM Server and web-based UI. The Test Engineer should be very familiar with developing material in an Agile test environment. Responsibilities include working closely with the development, test, and PM teams for backlog grooming, defining of acceptance tests, detailed test case writing, and test execution. The Test Engineer will also be required to perform environment setup, including: hardware configuration; installation, configuration, debug of the application and related hardware/environment variables. The candidate must have a passion for agile software testing and work effectively in a demanding collaborative environment. The candidate should have experience as a member of an agile software development team and be able to define acceptance tests as part of the story planning process. Technical aspects of testing are also required, including writing test-related code & test scripts, user acceptance tests, and the management of testing environments. To be successful in this role requires the ability and initiative to proactively drive testing of the TRM application, contributing to the project?s ongoing success. Great interpersonal skills are essential; building and maintaining productive, collaborative relationships with peers and managers. 8+ years in software development testing o Experienced in quality assurance practices and tools o Strong debugging skills o Experienced in white and black box testing o Test creation, including: test plans, test cases, acceptance testing o Test execution, including: automation, regression, performance testing o Data validation, boundary testing, and in analyzing test results • *Additional Job Info: * Great interpersonal skills are essential; building and maintaining productive, collaborative relationships with peers and managers. The Test Engineer designs, develops and executes test cases and test plans. The Test Engineer should be very familiar with developing material in an Agile test environment. Responsibilities include working closely with the development, test, and PM teams for backlog grooming, defining of acceptance tests, detailed test case writing, and test execution. The Test Engineer may also be required to perform environment setup, including: hardware configuration; installation, configuration, debug of the application and related hardware/environment variables. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a demanding collaborative environment. TAt a minimum, the candidate should have experience with the following: o Bug tracking software – JIRA, and related. o Database technologies – Teradata, Oracle, and SQL Server. o Social Media testing. Any experience testing SAAS applications. o Experienced in setup and deployment of Application servers – Web Sphere, Tomcat, and related o User design methodologies, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL and considerations is strongly desired o One or two scripting languages (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.) with 1+ years experience in each o Server administration – AIX, Linux, Windows (i.e. can set up and manage servers) Preferred Qualifications • Masters of Computer Science or in a related field • 5+ testing in an agile software development environment • 2+ years developing and executing automated test scripts (WatiN, SilkTest, and related) • Distilling business requirements into use cases and test cases • 10+ years in software development testing o Testing throughout SDLC *Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) :* 1) Have demonstrated experience developing automated scripts ,2) Performance testing (using webload) 3)Agile testing experience 5) J2EE 6) B/A degree in Computer OR Science OR EE (Masters preferred). * * *Archana* *703-955-4924* *[email protected] * -- Introduce business in 3800 cities.
