The Client is not looking for an operations DBA, but for a SQL Server developer who has experience designing datamarts, ETL and aggregation processes, and designing and developing stored procedures and SSIS packages to support these processes and data marts. I have a couple of perspective candidates, but the position is still open. We are currently looking for a SQL DBA that has strong SSIS 2008 experience for long term contract in Norfolk, VA. They’d like the consultant to have SQL Server experience, along with Data Marts experience. ETL experience would be a plus.
