Please submit matching Resume, Best rate and Contact number of your consultant for our *DIRECT CLIENT.***** ** ** *Locals to Chicago/IL preferred.***** ** ** ** ** *ORACLE DBA***** ** ** *Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6 months plus***** ** ** Provide expert technical support and administration of an Oracle database management system (RDBMS)**** • Knowledge of Data Guard and backup**** • Knowledge of system build out of database, refresh, point in time recoveries.**** • Provide leadership in setting strategy for leveraging Oracle software by designing, securing, and maintaining the data structures used to store data while complying with applicable Enterprise database standards, procedures, and best practices;**** • Lead the development of database standards and procedures;**** • Lead the design and support of the database environment ;**** • Work closely with UNIX administrators to ensure optimal performance and utilization is achieved on the database server;**** • Act as client advocate, ensuring smooth implementation into application architecture and database standards.**** • Direct and define backup and recovery requirements and resumption strategies based on characteristics of the data, operational environment, and Recovery Time Objectives/Recovery Point**** **** *Responsibilities:***** **** • Direct recovery/rollback efforts, as necessary.**** • Conduct production database performance monitoring and capacity planning;* *** • Analyze trending data and provide performance recommendations addressing specific application/system performance issues.**** • Develop reports of overall health of the portfolio of databases, escalating substantive capacity utilization variations from forecast to management**** • Provide complex database maintenance services to application development teams**** • Lead the diagnosis of database-related issues (e.g., database outages, application performance);**** • Coordinate the use of DMBS vendors and others to assist in the analysis and resolution of database problems/issues**** • Tune intermediate sequel, make performance recommendations on subsystem parameters and lead discussions on tuning efforts with applications and infrastructure groups. Ensure these solutions are in alignment with enterprise strategy.**** • Evaluate and recommend new database software, utilities, and tools and set the strategy for implementing new technologies.**** • Facilitate database testing efforts and work with subject matter experts to create implementation/migration plan with executable documentation.**** • Author complex scripts and tutors other DBA’s in scripting skill and usage and designs, codes and implements local facilities to support the DBMS environment.**** • Maintain understanding of the database software industry and provides future solutions, manage research activities; design and document standards and understands new technology and communications with applications along applicability to the environment.**** • Review product test results and recommend database/technology solutions to improve overall database environment.**** Provide technical support and maintenance of Oracle database software:**** • Provide support of Oracle software and perform database administration duties on Oracle RDBMS such as installs, upgrades, patches, configuration/environment changes and;**** • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced DBA’s.**** **** **** *Qualifications***** ** ** 5-8 years Oracle DBA experience**** • Intermediate to advanced Oracle database knowledge and skills including: OLTP; OLAP; performance tuning on a: server, database, and query level; HA/DR and capacity planning; database back up and recovery best practices; configuring and troubleshooting Data Guard; trending and growth analysis.*** * • Good understanding of server/storage/network for the Unix/Oracle platform - ASM, CRS and RAC knowledge preferred**** • Intermediate to advanced skills in troubleshooting complex issues and providing root cause analysis and remediation**** • Good communication and interpersonal skills**** • A team player with positive attitude Regards, Sanjay Kumar COMNet Group Inc.
