They will have in-depth knowledge installing, troubleshooting and maintaining AIX operating systems. They must be able to troubleshoot problems, interface with customers and other departments in a large corporate environment. Individual must be able to work independently and as a team member on projects with many challenges. Individual will also need to be self-motivated and have the ability to work with limited supervision. They should have the ability to effectively prioritize workload, consistently deliver assignments on-time and produce high quality deliverables. The person should have exceptional customer service skills, including telephone and written communications skills and the ability to instruct over the phone. They should have the ability to write technical documentation and have superior interpersonal and communication skills. They must have strong understanding of AIX, NIM, NIS, and IBM POWER hardware along with in-depth knowledge of AIX Virtualization. Competencies: System Admin_AIX Virtualization Admin work experience Experience (Years) 6-8 *Technologies * • Platforms: IBM P570/P770 • OS: AIX 5.3, 6.1, 7.1 • Virtualization: AIX Lpars, VIO Servers, VSCSI, VFC (NPIV) Responsibilities • Design, build and scale customer and application-specific environments. • Proactively identify opportunities and issues with existing and proposed applications, designs, etc. • Troubleshoot performance problems in an AIX environment. • Participate in requirements gathering with new customers and develop level-of-effort estimates for new projects. • Collaborate with internal teams and customers.
