*Location:* Queens, NY 11101 *Job Details:-* This position is responsible network server build and management in a mix UNIX and Wintel environment. The candidate must have prior experience with racking and installation of physical servers in an enterprise Data Center environment and knowledgeable on both HP and Oracle server hardware. Working knowledge on loading both Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 and Oracle Solaris 11 operating system onto servers and configure proper software drivers for all server components. The candidate must be comfortable working with both physical and virtual UNIX/Wintel servers and network cabling. This full time position will also be working with a team of 5 system engineers and will be reporting to our senior manager of Wintel Server group. *Responsibilities include: * · Physical server installation, both HP and Oracle, in an Enterprise Data Center environment, including standalone 2U and 4U and blade servers. · Loading both UNIX and Windows operating systems and configure software drivers on the servers. · Utilize system monitoring tools to monitor and troubleshoot server issues. · Server management including IP address assignment, SAN connectivity and patching. · Basic management of the SCA Active Directory 2008 environment including users and computers. · Writing UNIX Shell or PowerShell scripts to management and automate server processes. · Work with Desktop Support team to create workstation and laptop images based on SCA specification using Symantec Ghost. * Skills:* · Working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 2008/2012 R2 and Oracle Solaris 11. · Experience with physical HP and Oracle servers installation. · Experience with HP ILO and Oracle domains. · Strong scripting experience using UNIX Shell and Power Shell. · Knowledge of Red Hat Linux and VMware is a plus. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong documentation and organization skills.
