Clients Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) The
Information Technology Division of the NYC School Construction Authority is
in the process of upgrading the PMO.  The Ideal candidate will fulfill a
dual role as PMO/ Project Manager/Business analyst/ The candidate will have
superior skills in Business Analysis and Project Management (Waterfall
methodology).



Location: LI City, Queens, NY 11101

Duration: It is an indefinite duration job will go over 3-5 years

Rate: $95/hr on W2+ benefits (Insurance (Standard Health Plan), 10 paid
vacations and 10 National Holidays, 5 Sick leaves and Non Matching 401k
Plan)

Client: School Construction Authority (www.nycsca.org)



*Project Management Responsibilities*:

We require the resource to produce and collaborate on the following Project
Management deliverables: This includes (but is not limited to):

•    Management of the project WBS (for all phases of project life cycle;
end to end)

•    Track Team deliverables, keep a high standard of quality while keeping
to project schedule

•    Provide team with direction, resolve issues, and mitigate risks

•    Responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying application
requirements, assessing gaps, roles and data.

•    Work with project team and ensure compliance with PMO Methodology,
processes, policies, standards, best practices.

•    Project communications including status, risks, issues, escalation,
etc.

•    Enter project status in PPM, MS Project server

•    Manage Change Requests and new development requests

•    Overall project coordination including management of resources and
tasks

•    Assist team as needed in completing project tasks and provide direction

•    Work with the project sponsor to effectively manage project scope

•    Review team deliverables/ project documentation



*Deliverables*

•    Creation and management of the project WBS (and related documentation
as needed)

•    Creation of project Charter and scope statement

•    Weekly Status reports

•    Risk Management plan

•    Risk and Issues log

•    Communication Plan/ Issue escalation procedures

•    Work with business/users to define and analyze project
scope/requirements

•    Document User Guide/ Administration Documents

•    Create all other project documentation per the PMO methodology







*For Project Management*

·         At least 8 years’ experience project managing large projects
(end-to-end)

·         Expert Knowledge of PMLC and SDLC

·         MS project 2013

·         PMP certification is a plus

·         Strong communication, presentation, articulation skills

·         Detail oriented, team player, soft skills, can follow process by
the book



Business Analysis Responsibilities: We require the resource to produce and
collaborate on the following Business Analyst deliverables: This includes
(but is not limited to):

·                     Work with Business/Users to define and analyze
project scope/requirements

·                     Lead/facilitate joint application design sessions
with users and IT staff

·         Document Analysis and design deliverables - Business processes
(as is and to be),  project requirements, Traceability Matrix, Business
Rules, UI flows, Wireframes, use cases, functional specifications, data
dictionary, content inventory

·                     Document User Guide/ Administration Documents

·                     Work with Development team, Operations, Quality
Assurance Testers

·         Work with Trainer, knowledge transfer of training requirements,
assist with training

·         Confirm that requirements are being met in development of the
application and reports

·         Validate UI design, content, demo partial build to users

·         Work with project manager and business owners to ensure
compliance with legislation and business needs

·         Work with project team to research problems and find and
implement solutions

·         Knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Integration



*Deliverables*

·         All analysis and design project documentation - Business
processes (as is and to be),  project requirements, Traceability Matrix,
Business Rules, UI flows, Wireframes, use cases, functional specifications,
data dictionary, content inventory, User Guide/ Administration Documents

·                     At least 8 years’ experience as lead Business Analyst

·                     Expert Knowledge of  SDLC

·                     Strong skill set to gather requirements and document
business processes

·                     Strong communication, presentation, articulation
