Our Client located in Reston, VA is in need of a Senior Linux System
Engineer in Reston, VA, for an initial 10 month contract till December 31,
2016, with good probability of extension.
The Linux Engineer will be responsible for the care and feeding of our
clients Backend environment performing new builds, and maintenance of the
systems that run the WIFI environment to access points, web portals,
databases that maintain list of assets and status’ polling and statistics
and tunnels.
The Linux Engineer will be developing tools and products for our clients
WIFI area in addition to administering the systems.
The Linux Engineer must have proven experience in an operation environment
with systems that deliver product to clients or the systems that house the
tools that monitor those systems.
Required Skills
- 5+ years Strong Linux system administration experience
- knowledge of RHEL or equivalent
- Experience in an operations environment
- Systems that deliver product to clients, or
- Systems that house the tools that manage those systems
- Strong Scripting in Python Development creating tools and products
Preferred Skills
- able to read PERL script is a plus
- Strong knowledge of networking
- Tunneling, network protocols
- WiFi experience
