Principal Software Engineer in Test . Lead role on multiple projects, design and code reviews, and other works including advocating priority alignment in daily standups, contribute to agile planning meetings and managing backlogs. A hands-on contributor to build and enhance solutions to challenging technical problems that improve the effectiveness of automation for product development teams; including test tools and frameworks, harnesses, and fixtures. Thought leader and in the design and implementation of the test automation strategy and processes for product development teams to help shape and form the mindsets and approaches to appropriate uses and designs for automated testing. Contribute to strategic automation planning and projects; and community of practice. Work closely with Performance Assurance Manager and Engineers to improve performance of tests and maintain complex production-like test lab environment’s Mentor and coach technical team members. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree of Science (BS), preferably a CS degree. 6+ years experience as a Software Engineer in Test or related Quality Engineering roles. 2+ years management or lead experience, including mentoring and preferably contributions to hiring. Strong communication, decision making, problem solving, and presentation skills Proven ability to negotiate and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Experience with principles of well-constructed software architecture. Passionate about test automation and continuous integration. Experience with Agile development teams and tools Expertise in developing test automation and continuous integration (CI) solutions with Selenium. For the CI tool, Jenkins expertise a plus. Expertise with one or more behavior- or test-driven (BDD or TDD) and JavaScript automated testing frameworks and tools. Proficiency programming in Python or Java; and JavaScript and SQL on Linux. Experience in other programming languages, such as C, C++, Ruby, Groovy, and PHP/Perl, a plus. Proficiency integrating web applications with databases, such as MySQL, Mongo, and Oracle.
