Hey Antonio,

As previously mentioned, I don't think this patch belongs in this patchset, 
since it involves cosmetic purely changes.

In terms of the content itself however, it looks good to me; the comments are 
welcome, and mp_free is a more accurate description of the function, given that 
its behaviour has changed from its original implementation.

I suggest rolling a separate 'cleanup' patchset with the cosmetic changes.
