I would prefer that we make more progress on splitting the projects before we split the mailing lists. I think splitting the mailing lists beforehand will just cause confusion about where patches should go and who should be subscribed to which list. While we don't have to have the projects completely separate, I'd like to at least have a plan and see some progress on how we're going to do it. I'd also like to have at least some preliminary discussions on it's parent organization, since they will be ultimately be the ones maintaining the list.
