I've added the dev list again, so hopefully the answer can be searchable
by others.  I believe either way should be fine, and in this case it is
likely okay to ignore this particular warning from the robot.
Maintainers (such as Ilya) can obviously override this, but there are
cases with other commits where we have a slight mismatch in the names
and still accept the patch (for example, people who change positions,
contributors who have non-latin characters in their names, etc).

If you are still concerned and want to avoid this splat in the future,
generating the patch from a system with a different configured name will
insert an additional "From:" field into the patch email, and that can be
used by git as the author when the patch is applied.
