The soft freeze date for OVN 22.12 snuck up a bit. It's this coming
Friday, 4 November. As a reminder, soft freeze is the deadline for
getting new feature patches submitted for consideration for OVN 22.12.
It is not the deadline for getting new feature patches merged, just
posted to the mailing list. Bug fix patches will still be considered if
they are submitted after the soft freeze.
The schedule has the branch creation date two weeks later on 18
November. However, many of the OVN developers will be busy during the
week of 7-11 November due to OVSCon. Therefore, I would like to propose
an extra week between soft freeze and branch creation. The updated
schedule would be:
4 November: OVN 22.12 soft freeze
25 November: OVN branch-22.12 creation
9 December: Ovn 22.12.0 release
If there are any objections to this change to the release schedule,
please speak up.
