Hi Brad,

Thanks for that. I used “apt source” on a Ubuntu 16.10 to get the debian
directory for OVS 2.6.

Darragh.

Hi Darragh,
I'm the one at WAND who maintains the openvswitch packages in our repo, and I
spent some time this week working on packaging openvswitch 2.7 with DPDK for
Debian and Ubuntu.
If you would like to package your own, you can use Ubuntu's packaging of
openvswitch which includes openvswitch-switch-dpdk packages up to version 2.6.1:

https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-server-dev/ubuntu/+source/openvswitch/+git/openvswitch
Otherwise you can use my openvswitch 2.7.0 packages which use the Ubuntu
packaging that I have forward-ported to building 2.7.0 (instead of 2.6.1).
These are now available for Debian stretch and Ubuntu 17.04 on our debian
package repo:
https://packages.wand.net.nz
I have also made my debian packaging files available if you would like to build
your own copies of my packages:

https://packages.wand.net.nz/packaging/openvswitch-dpdk_debian.tar.gz
Regards,
Brad

Can http://docs.openvswitch.org/en/latest/intro/install/debian/ build ovs DPDK
packages? I can’t find an existing debian script to build both ovs and ovs
DPDK, but Ubuntu repo does provides both ovs and ovs DPDK, and you are able to
switch to ovs or ovs DPDK on demand, that is really very very convenient.

It is straightforward to build your own packages.
