Hi, Vishal.  I had some bad information, and you are correct that this case is 
not properly handled.  On further consideration, we decided that this isn't the 
right path to go down, since it's not clear what all the possible ICMP 
transformations should look like.  Also, since a proper IPv6 stack will require 
a controller (e.g, to send out periodic router advertisements), we think it's 
best to just have the controller handle the solicitation messages itself.  I 
plan to update the ovs-fields document to indicate that changing the ICMP type 
and code is discouraged except for possibly handling ping packets.

Zak had completed most of the work to set the RSO flags, so I'm sure he'd be 
happy to send it out if you want to take the patches in yourself.  However, I 
don't think it makes sense to include that functionality more generally in OVS.
