Hi all,
Recently I upgrade my kernel from 2.9.0 to 2.10.0. When I remove ovs
2.9.0 kernel module, the system crash, then reboot. Does anyone know
why? My environment is centos7, linux3.10.693
The openvswitch module is not linked in when you try to remove the
package and the panic hits. It may be that
the openvswitch kernel module left something unhandled during removal.
Does openvswitch start automatically when you reboot? Try disabling the
service so that it does not start, reboot
and then try to remove the package. Note that the package is from
Centos so we have little control over what they
package and distribute.

Below is my steps:
/ovs-dpct del-dp ovs-system/
/ip//link del genev_sys_6081/
/ip//link del vxlan_sys_4789/
/docker//stop openvswitchd/
/rmmod//vport_geneve && rmmod vport_vxlan && rmmod openvswitch/
/rpm –e openvswitch-kmod-2.9.0-1.el7.centos.x86_64 //Here, system crash./
