I noticed that after I upgrade to a newer kernel, I see it failing as below for
the command " make check-system-userspace TESTSUITEFLAGS='-k datapath'
TESTSUITEFLAGS='1'"

It fails because it finds unexpected log message in the stderr.
Apparently, you're running a fairly old kernel that doesn't have support for
meters.

ignore list:
