An additional news item was discussed at the DC meeting last night -- after founding OWASP DC in 2008 (with Rex Booth) and running it for four years, Mark and I are stepping down as chapter leads for DC for 2012.
We are focusing on AppSec DC and many other things, and felt it wasn't fair to not devote the attention to the chapter that it needs, especially since we've found some other passionate folks who are willing to do so. Picking up the reins of the chapter in 2012 will be Trevor Hawthorne of Stratum Security, and Rinaldi Rampen, of Living Social. They can be reached at Trevor Hawthorn <[email protected]> Rinaldi Rampen <[email protected]> Mark and I look forward to working with them in 2012 to make the DC Chapter great -- we're not going away, but we need someone else to take charge of the chapter in the new year. Thanks to all for your support over the past four years, and we look forward to what the DC chapter can become in the future.
