So, you don't connect VDD+ on the master but on an USB plug which is 
connected to an USB port of your server. that's right ?

Ok I understand, this make me asking another question.
Is 1wire using  many or few electrical power ?
It's for this reason i've thought about adding an external power 
supply, to not overload the server one.

What I understand about this protection is that it's use against 
lightning strike, no ?
