another point that could be nice to work a bit...

the cross compilation is a bit hard
maybe just a

export CC=xxxxx
./configure --host=xxxx
make

could help a lot
today i´m using a virtual machine and copying all codesource ry (arm)
library to it and replacing the default gcc, make, as, ld, etc...

i don´t know if it´s a hard work since i don´t like Makefiles kkkkk, ok i
never developed a very big project, but could be nice a easier cross
compilation interface
