Thank you very much for your help. I have a DS9490 on the USB bus. I found the file but also realised I have a lot left to do as I can't find anything in /var/log/messages indicating that that the device is recognised. I would need some kind of howto to know what I should do in which order to get these packages working. Do you know if such a document exists or could you maybe write a few lines what I should do? I have tried to study the sourceforge documentation but important bits seem to be missing.
