Hello from Gregg C Levine
Paul, its obtuse because the way the article was written doesn't
completely conform to the styles we enjoy regarding the other
articles.

Besides, I found it to be an interesting one, because it proves the
reliability of Linux in an environment that's almost always been the
haven of the RTOS products from companies such as Wind River.
Incidentally the Mars Rovers, are being run by that product from Green
Hills. The gang at JPL is using both SGI systems running its own OS,
and a branded distribution of Linux for SGI. Possibly some systems
from SUN, and even a few Windows boxes out there. I'm not too familiar
with how JPL has its Mission Control room set up.

While I myself do not have a spare TacSat-1, hanging around here, I'd
like to build a bird based on the OSCAR series of birds, and then work
out how to get it aloft. It would start out life as a Get Away Special
package. That project would then be a good candidate for OWFS.

By the way the Yankees will win tomorrow, if it does not rain, with
the score 2-0 in favor of NY.
