The LINK people claim their hubs have better electrical properties. USB is slightly faster, but in truth, DS9097U, DS9490 and LINK all seem to work well. If you mean the DS2409 hubs, I think they are a little flaky. I wouldn't use them just to partition your netwrok. OWFS can handle any number of adapters, including multiple USB adapters. If you want to partition your network, use multiple adapters. You don't explain your application or topology, but OWFS can allow you to arrange the wiring almost arbitrarily and then create a logical arrangement as you wish. Paul
