1Mb Flash & 6Mb RAM is probably the absolute minimal requirement to boot a shell without any other applications. 2Mb Flash will fit all binaries, and 2Mb spare RAM will allow them to run without any problem. I doubt it will be any possibility to save any temperature logs and create graphs on the device though.
