v3 is identical v2.2 with exception of led location I believe.  You
can use "TheRodents" build for that, which is what I run on one of my
v2.2s with Christian's OWFS binaries.

I just started using the Experimental build, wasn't there an option to
build with the 2.4.20 kernel?  If not, I'll be running to the fuse
binary issue as well.
