I'm starting ownfsd, an NFS implementation of OWFS. This should be an alternative to FUSE for non-linux platforms.
Using unfs3 (http://unfs3.sourceforge.net) which apparently works with BSD, Solaris and linux. We won't need a mount point -- only the client needs that. We won't need directory or file caching, nor inodes. No /etc/exports parsing -- I plan to make ownfsd open, and any protection should code from the operating system -- perhaps ssh tunneling. Any thoughts? Paul ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
