Hi Paul,
first of all I have to thank you again, you helped me so much and you put so much work in the owfs, you are great!
My electronic skills are still very basic, but I think the problem has to do with the flouros and not with owfs itself, I did some research and foud out that the radiation of the flouros can have negative effects on chips and electric components near them.
I installed a capaciator on the flouros 220V lines and moved the PCB further away from the flouros ballast. This seems to reduce or even eliminate all failures so I dont think its really a owfs problem, more an electro smog problem.
A fancy grounded metal case should solve the problem finally.
I am almost sure that radiation causes the problem, for testing i have put some ungrounded aluminium foil around the heatshrinked DS18B20 and have held it close to the flouros, the BUS broke down and could not be restarted until a complete reset was made (The DS9094 could not be initialised correctly anymore).
I will do a 24 hour test now and see if seperation of the components will do the trick.
I wonder what happends when I hook up the 400W HPS lamp for the big terrarium, hope the radiation doesnt melt all chips within 5 meters distance.
My next project will be a valve amp, I definately need more basic electronic knowledge.
Paul, thanks again for all your help, I admire your work, you are great! Simon
