Could it caused by the DS2409?
The full path of the DS2408 alarm directory is:
/mnt/owfs/1F.8D5702000000/main/alarm/29.B16D00000000

In this directory, I can access "type", "present", "id", "family", "crc8", 
"address", but not "strobe", "set_alarm", "power", "por", "sensed.*",  
"latch.*", and "PIO.*".
