Yes, it's a Plain Old Dell i686 running a stock Fedora Core 5 with kernel 2.6.16 and glibc 2.4. It only started going wrong when I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.16, do you have that same kernel version too? > The "embedded functions" were mainly a convenience.
