Claes, OWFS certainly works with the 2.6 kernel, and the DS9490R. (I just tested it again).
So, some thoughts: 1. The binary versions in the sourceforge may not be totally compatible. Can I suggest compiling from source? (The binaries are built on Suse 9.3). 2. DSL probably wouldn't work with the 2.6 kernel and the owfs.uci. It needed fuse kernel module, which was built for the then-current DSL kernel (2.4.24 or something like that). 3. If you run with "--foreground --error_level=9" are there any hints? 4. The test against the WinXP is helpful. 5. CPU performance is certainly not an issue. I've forewarded this note to the developers's list, and hope you'll post your results as well.
