No, you didn't get it right: Maxim still manufactures these chips (and will
do for a couple of years, I think). They just won't give the guarantee they
will *never* stop to manufacture those chips. For *all* the other chips they
have *not* listed in that document, Maxim gives such a guarantee.
That's more one gets from other manufacturers, where you can never be safe a
particular chip won't be discontinued next year or so.
