Well.. for those of us who use mailing list archives to look back thru previous
emails, and see this as a valuable archive, once discussions take place on IRC,
then that question and answer isn't available.. so the question gets asked
again..
I'd rather not see IRC offered at all, so that questions that have been
asked and answered don't get lost, and so that the pool of available experience
doesn't get diluted across two different media.
Given the speed with which Paul and others answer questions here, I don't see
IRC being any faster, (or offering ANY other advantages, for that matter.)
