1. Welcome. This is the correct place for questions.
2. Damn Small Linux is essentially a Debian distribution. It will run the
current version of OWFS easily, though it's a bit of a chore setting up the
build environment. (Getting autotools, gcc, etc).
You will probably need to get the header files ("devel" packages) for fuse and
libusb.
Basically the reason there isn't a new build is because the documentation and
tools for the various DSL packaging methods (.gz, .uci, .unc) were too difficult
to set up for routine use. If
you are interested in doing the job, please share your results.

Hello -
I hope asking a newbie question here is not to un-appropriate, I realize this is
a developer's list, however it's the only email list I could fine for owfs.
Will the current version of owfs run on DSL (Damn Small Linux)? I know the
initial version will run - I've downloaded that .iso and played with it, but I'm
not if I'm getting things right as I can't get the new version to install & run
correctly.
