Hello Paul -
yes, configure.ac and Makefile.ac are in the /OWFS/ directory.
I ran bootstrap and configure as you mention, ./bootstrap and ./configure,
ran them from /OWFS/ directory.
This is where I always get a little frustrated with Linux, the startup
curve's a little steep sometimes. Any ideas Paul?

What you described should work.
Just a question, in the OWFS directory, were there files like "configure.ac"
Did you do the commands: "./bootstrap" and "./configure"? (So the owfs
version rather than some other version of those commands is done)?

Ok, I know someone will have this answer easily, I'm just a little to much
of a beginner at Linux.
Running Slackware 11 with KDE x windows. I've got the OWFS software in
/OWFS/ directory, and I've been able to run bootstrap and configure without
problems. I'm having trouble making the install.
I enter "make install" and get this error: no rule to make tartet 'install'.
Stop.
Now I'm pretty sure I'm just doing something simple wrong, I'm running this
command from /OWFS/. Do I need to run it in a different location or
something?
Thanks in advance,
Leland
