David Lissuik can better speak for himself, but I think his idea was to mark
boards that are supported ("certified?") to work with OWFS.
The logo could also be used on supported reference designs posted on the

I don't think we currently would want to open a web-store, if that was your
proposal. There are some excellent vendors (AAG, Dallas, EmbeddedSystems,
HobbyBoards, iButtonLink, PuseBabboon, Springbok) that make well-designed
devices and have helped the project support their offerings. I'd prefer we
help people find those sites, and that those vendors mention OWFS as one of
the available software systems.
