I'm fooling around with the DS1821 for which there is some support in OWFS.
I can read the temperature and set the Th and Tl registers.
I want to use the part in thermostat mode but there doesn't seem to be any
facility in OWFS for setting that bit in the status/config register. The
only bit I can set is the POL bit, which controls which logic sense the
thermostat output has.
Is there any way to set any other bit using, say, the owfs or the owshell
commands?
I have reviewed the code and I see that it should be just a moment's work to
add support for the remaining THF, THL, TR, and 1SHOT bits in the
configuration register. I'm willing to do this if some contributor is
willing to accept my patch.
