Ok, I've been hinting for a while, but here is is: owtap

There is extensive documentation (man pages, screen shots, etc) at
http://www.owfs.org/index.php?page=owtap

Basically it is a program that displays the traffic to and from owserver.
Importantly, owtap knows the owserver protocol and can intelligently show
the messages.
I've already found some mistakes in owserver's implementation.

The main use for owtap would be to test and develop owserver clients.

owtap is pure Tcl/TK, infact if you have Tcl/TK, you can just invoke
./owtap.tcl directly.

Arguments:
-p port
owtap port. If not specified, an ephemeral port will be assigned by your
operating system. It will be displayed in the main window title.
-s port
owserver port. If not specified, 4304 is used.

Clients include owfs, owhttpd owftpd owserver, owperl, owpython, owdir
owread owwrite owphp owtcl, ownet.pm, .....

Clients should attach to owtap instead of owserver by using owtap's port
instead of owserver's port.
