About skipping scripts and reading directly from owfs:
I'm not sure what you architecture is.
I presume you are creating a flash application, and want the program (in the
browser) to perform calls to owserver. That should be possible. owserver has
a relatively simple tcp protocol that has been ported to a number of
languages and is also extensively documented on the website.
Looking at the ActionScript (Flex 2) documentation, it isn't clear whether
making calls to non-http ports is allowed. If so, then it should be easy to
parse the owserver protocol information information.
An alternative approach would be to run owhttpd and call appropriate http
URLs within your Flash application.
