Just thought I would share some observations, when I have reinstalled my
server.
I had been running ubuntu server 7.0x with owfs 2.4p1 and I used to get a
number of read errors being logged by my read script. The errors are
generated by the read script and I use owread to gather data. Error report
from the script such as "Data error on uncached/05.FC152D000000/sensed
./dig: line 26: [: ==: unary operator expected" or "Data error on
20.952A05000000/volt.D" I would get say from 1 - 5 errors per day.
Now I have upgraded to ubuntu server 8.04 and owfs 2.7p4 my error rate has
reduced to what seems to be 1 read error every 4-5 days, don't know if it
the ubuntu or owfs version change that has improved the situation. However
there is a very noticeable improvement in script errors that has been
returned by what I think was failed owread attempts.
