ok, so here's what i can get done on my linux box... after booting, i : mkdir /tmp/1-wire /opt/owfs/bin/owfs -u -F -m /tmp/1-wire --allow_other
now the two components i have on my eval board show up just as they should. now my questions... i don't think the 1-wire bus is hot-pluggable, ie if i want to add sensors, i stop and restart owfs with the new sensors installed. if i kill the owfs process, the /tmp/1-wire directory is hosed and i cannot delete it or restart owfs pointing to it. if i reboot the machine, it is gone and i can repeat the process. is there a graceful shutdown for owfs that leaves my mount point usable? i haven't been able to figure out owhttp, or any of the other progs except owfs. where is the "1-wire on linux for dummies"? thanks for any help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Owfs-developers mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/owfs-developers
