OH ok..so there is no way to change the test data?? 
guess I really need to buy some parts.

Um no, though that would be a nice addition. I guess you'd have to accept the 
chance of filling memory.What would we call that device (since it changes the 
expectations of tester and fake. 

I actually meant that after you code reads a value into a variable from owfs, 
you could just set that variable to the value you really wanted. Since all this 
is for testing.
