Well i know owfs has some .rpm packages on their sourceforge page, those could
be converted to .deb using alien.
I dont think they have a whole package .rpm to use though, it would have to be
done by its parts i guess.
apt-get install alien
alien -i /path/to/file.rpm

Hi,
first of all: thanks for the great work you did with owfs!
One question, do you know about any efforts to build a Debian-package for owfs
(I found none) ? So far I'm not very used (means, I have no idea) in building
and maintaining deb-packages, but that could be learned.
It would also open-up owfs to the a wider Debian-community unwilling to compile
from source..
1-Wire is IMHO a great technology and owfs is the key to use it with OSS but
both are nearly unknown and unfortunately not very wide spread..
I'm currently with building a ready-to-run, preconfigured (but fully open!) box
as 1wire-to-EIB gateway relying mostly on Debian, owfs, eibd (in the first step)
as this great and cheap sensor-technology is otherwise not very easy to access
for "normally" skilled users..
(EIB/KNX is a home automation bus, popular in Germany/Europe)
Best regards
Michael Markstaller
