OpenWRT itself has a build system that now includes a Makefile that
builds owfs. I've created a patch to update it to 2.7p13 and to allow
building packages without having fuse (needed for 2.4 kernels where
fuse doesn't exist apparently):

https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/4476

The openwrt developer that built the Makefile made it create several
packages for all the programs. So it is possible to install only
owserver/owhttpd/etc. That is particularly nice for these routers and
you can install just a minimum set. I will use it by installing only
owserver and then fetching the readings through the network to a
central machine.

I assume that since this is now in their regular package system (and
it wasn't when the last version came out) that all the next releases
of openwrt will have owfs available through a simple "opkg install"
command.

Pedro.
