OWFS on Hardy good, Intrepid broke owfs.  But I can't go back now, I 
need Ubuntu 8.10 for the usb to serial port adapters on my laptop.  I 
had too many problems with the 1wire usb adapter (usb interface I think).

For the version /opt/owfs/bin/owhttpd --version per Paul's previous message.
