Hi.

>From time to time, I'm experiencing hangs with owfs. I have a few
programs accessing the bus simultaneously, some by a mounted fuse
filesystem, others through the python libraries. Every once in a
while, all hang, and trying an ls of the mounted directory hangs as well.
Restarting the owserver corrects the problem immediately, and most
programs continue along happily. In the interim, though, all reads
and writes to devices on the bus are impossible.

So far I've only noticed this while using a DS2408 to switch some
heaters on and off. (It's unfortunate when they become stuck on, but
no crisis.) I constantly monitor several thermometers and a few other
devices without issue. The hang I observe seems to coincide with
frequent switching of a particular DS2408. I don't believe the device
is at fault, but suspect only that my usage pattern is triggering the
hang. Other DS2408's on the bus, also switched frequently for months
on end, don't seem to trigger this. The issue is very intermittent.

What is the best way to begin debugging this?

One other issue I'm having is with owfs mounted. Upon entering the
mounted directory, an ls returns only "bus.0 settings statistics
structure system uncached", as if no devices were on the bus. A
second ls returns everything I expect. Any ideas?

Thanks.
~Jacob
