I have attached some links below to how I created the web based gauges that
are driven by owfs on my site. As you will see I just used powerpoint as
the first pass at getting the gauge concept together, however it turned out
well and have not bothered in using an actual "paint" application.

These two doco's are very preliminary however should finish them within 4-6
weeks to a point that they make a little more sense and at that time can
post them on the owfs site. I will also include the base javascript/Raphael
code that drives a single gauge, although it pretty easy just to look at my
web page driving the gauges. I just thought I would share the links below
if anybody is interested in using this concept.

I really want to move onto doing some gauges for the weather pages,
Temperature, Humidity and Pressure. I was thinking for the pressure it
would be easy to capture a value and date in a cookie (when the user
selected a button) This would allow the gauge to display a "setpoint" or
second indicator on the gauge so the user could determine if the value has
increased or decreased since he captured the data. Just like a mechanical
barometer. If anybody has any idea's or concepts when it comes to a weather
display I would welcome the input, as I do not know at this stage to just
copy my existing gauges, create a slightly larger one and make it completely
circular or create a large an LCD display image, approx 8" x 2" and report
weather data on that background. Similar to a purchased home weather
station you put on the wall.

I have also tidied up my initial web page so the trend application now works
when the gauge is selected.

If you have any ideas for a weather display send me an email direct.

Beautiful work, Rob.

I've added a new section to the web site for display solutions, and included
your post verbatim:
