Fuse doesn't exist for the windows platform (although there are some
projects attempting to provide it.)

OWFS should build fine without fuse, just the filesystem won't be created.
Web server , ftp server and owserver work wonderfully. As do languages,
ownet, shell programs.

That is, in Cygwin 1.5.

At your suggestion, I set up a virtual machine with cygwin 1.7 last night
and ran into errors building and finding all the dependencies.

Gregg, would you be willing to pursue this problem and report on your
progress?
