Hi, I'm trying to get a DS9097U clone (http://www.tietopetri.fi/rsadap.html) connected to a Prolific RS232/USB adapter on a FreeBSD box to look at a temperature sensor for a customer.
Unfortunately it doesn't work :( I did get owfs built (that was a bit of a trial in itself.. I have diffs if you are interested), however I can't see any devices on the bus. To make matters worse I'm remote from the site in question :) I have gathered some debugging from.. owfs --8bit -d /dev/cuaU0 --error_level 9 --error_print 2 --foreground ~/ow which is available at.. http://www.gsoft.com.au/~doconnor/owfs-debug.log.gz The mounted directory looks like... slice:~>ll ow total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 bus.0/ drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 settings/ drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 statistics/ drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 30 Jun 8 14:27 structure/ drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 system/ drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 uncached/ slice:~>ll ow/bus.0/ total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 8 Jun 8 14:27 interface/ I note the log file talks about ow_ds9097U.c, not ow_ds9097.c as I would expect.
