Hello!
Below is something I received from Maxim-IC regarding the DS2435. It's
been technically obsolete since the beginning of the century.

| The DS2435 was listed in the Dallas 1997 and 2000 product data
| books with CD.
|
| Per Product Change Notice A010102, the DS2435 has been obsoleted
| effective June 30, 2001. There are no suggested replacements for
| the DS2435 Battery Identification Chip with Time/Temperature
| Histogram. All orders must have a requested ship date before
| December 31, 2001, or the order will be rejected.
|
| Have a good day!

| Hello!
| I work with a loosely connected group of people, via e-mail not
| in person, who write and manage open source software for reading
| and writing one-wire hardware.
|
| I, myself, run the aforementioned firm who also does that.
|
| I am trying to confirm the existence of the DS2435, now when we
| got started the part number was indeed an active one, and we
| could order sample parts. I didn't, did not order any that is.
|
| Now I find I need to, and the site is insisting they do not
| exist.
